SCENARIO #2: OFFSHORE

Well blew out when tubing was unseated from packer to work the well over. It caught fire immediately and burnt the rig down, severely damaging the B.O.P.'s and wellhead.

SOLUTION

  • Removed rig from location

  • Extinguished fire.

  • Removed rig's B.O.P. stack.

  • Installed new B.O.P.'s, diverter stack and diverter well.

  • R/U Boots & Coots Snubbing Unit.

  • Tied 3 1/2" tubing back to surface.

  • Washed out 3 1/2" tubing

  • Dynamically killed well from bottom with 3 1/2" tubing.
