BOOTS & COOTS STRENGTHENS SALES TEAM WITH
ADDITION OF ANDREW SCHIRO, JR.

HOUSTON, January 25, 2006 — Boots & Coots International Well Control (AMEX: WEL) today announced that Andrew Schiro, Jr. has joined the business development team as Global Sales Executive.

“We are pleased to have Andrew join the Boots & Coots development team,” said Larry Burleson, Director of Global Relations. “He brings extensive industry knowledge, vast experience and leadership, and we feel fortunate that he will represent us while working with our current and prospective customers.”

Mr. Schiro has 34 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.  He has worked with both major and independent oil companies in various supervisory rolls for their drilling and production departments as well as owned Schiro Consulting Company, performing consulting services both internationally and domestically.  Most recently, he was the Senior Project Manager for three years with Weatherford International overseeing their sales project management group.  His broad experience ranges from field supervision, sales and engineering, and well planning.  Mr. Schiro received his bachelor’s degree of business administration in Management from the University of Houston.  He is also a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers, International Association of Drilling Contractors, and the American Association of Drilling Engineers.
