LARRY BURLESON TO JOIN BOOTS & COOTS AS DIRECTOR OF GLOBAL RELATIONS

HOUSTON, August 29, 2005 - Boots & Coots International Well Control (AMEX: WEL) today announced that Larry Burleson has been appointed Director of Global Relations. Mr. Burleson will officially join Boots & Coots September 1.

"With his experience and knowledge of the industry and our customers, Larry's an invaluable addition to the Boots & Coots team," said Jerry Winchester, President and Chief Executive Officer. "He is one of the most respected in the business, and his reputation and experience will help cultivate the relationships that already exist with our customers and gain the attention of prospective customers."

Mr. Burleson has over 29 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. The past 20 years he has focused on well control, most recently as Director of Sales for Wild Well Control. His experience in the energy industry has ranged from down-hole drilling tools and surface equipment to drilling contractor and turnkey operations. Mr. Burleson is also a member of the International Association of Drilling Contractors, the American Association of Drilling Engineers and The Society of Petroleum Engineers.
