BOOTS & COOTS PARTICIPATES IN IADC INTERNATIONAL WELL CONTROL CONFERENCE

HOUSTON, Dec. 7, 2004 - Iraq's current well control events and practices were discussed in a panel discussion at the 2004 IADC International Well Control Conference & Exhibition in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Boots & Coots International Well Control, Inc. (Amex: WEL) a global prevention, emergency response and restoration company for the oil and gas industry, was asked to participate in the panel discussion.

Rex Mann, director of business development for Boots & Coots, sat on the panel discussion chaired by Norman Edwards, director-Middle East and Asia for the International Drilling Contractors Association (IADC).

"We have been on the front line of these well fires numerous times, working directly with the Northern and Southern Iraq Oil Companies and with our Iraqi partner, The Iraqi Falcon Group," said Mann. "It was good to give the Boots & Coots perspective on the current well control practices in Iraq. We are able to give a hands-on perspective of the issues facing Iraq's oil infrastructure." Boots & Coots was recently called in by the Northern Iraq Oil Company to extinguish fires at seven wells in Northern Iraq.

The panel discussion was held during the first afternoon session of the conference. The panel also included Farid Jadir, drilling manager of the Iraqi Northern Fields.
