HOUSTON, (August 11, 2004) — Boots & Coots announced
today that Richard Hatteberg, Senior Well Control Specialist,
has rejoined the experienced staff of Boots & Coots International
Well Control, Inc. Hatteberg, with over 40 years of well control
experience, was an original member of the Red Adair group and
a charter member of Boots & Coots.

team,” said Danny Clayton, Director of Well Control Operations. “He
has performed well control services in virtually every oil
and gas field in the world. The experience and resources Richard

Mr. Hatteberg played an instrumental role in creating Boots & Coots’ worldwide
reputation and tradition. After starting with Myron Kinley
in 1955, Mr. Hatteberg became an original member of the Red
Adair Company. The Boots & Coots Well Control Firefighting
and Engineering staff has combined experience of more than
350 years, ranging from well control to drilling engineering.
